Yep, we've been home for so long I've made Bacon Fat Cookies.
They were a hit!
I made my first foccacia loaf. I will try again and with less salt. There were no leftovers, though.
Do you remember this quilt? Well, its needed some repairs for a while, and I haven't wanted to do it. At all. Its like altering a dress, I'd almost rather start from scratch. BUT... hubby works out of a camper and wanted a background for his online meetings that didn't scream CAMPER, so I suggested hanging his quilt - which meant I had to repair it.
So I did. Took me 20 minutes tops. Figures.
Silly pictures of Mini with a basket for a head.
I shared on social media how excited I was to have a second fridge in our garage. I don't think I've ever gotten so many comments. Everyone agreed that a second fridge is the best!

Really Random Thursday 3.5.20
Finally getting a chance to sit down a blog a bit before I'm off again.
I made two X+ blocks for one my Erie Street Quilter friends. She's planning to make charity quilts with her blocks.
I made a block of Elizabeth's own design for the Gridster Bee February.
She also asked for a coordinating envelope for the signature block.
I included an extra center, because I did not initially follow the directions correctly.
For March, Marsha asked for a Drunkard's Path Variation.
I've had one kid home sick most of the week. Fortunately they were all off Monday, he stayed home Tues and Wed, and only managed a half day today. Current nickname: Captain Croup.

I've also been adding various things to my Etsy Shop. If anyone is in the market for a vintage Fish Finder, this lovely will be listed soon. :)
To say my offerings are eclectic would be an understatement!

Really Random Thursday 11.7.19
At my guild's October meeting I did a short presentation on English Paper Piecing. I made some larger than life examples to be passed around.
Since I pulled out all of my EPP projects to get ready for the presentation, I pulled out this one that I haven't looked at in ages. Those are 1/2 inch hexies. I think I'm going to finish it.
Also during the last weekend of October, I helped throw a bridal shower for my step sister, who's getting married in February. Fall themed, with some "gem" accents. Gem is the color of the bridesmaids dresses. (its been forever since I've been in a wedding).
These were the favors I put together for the adult guests. Yes, its my own honey.
The younger guests got some combination of bubbles, scrunchies, fuzzy socks, chap stick, and sparkly washi tape.
This is my sister with her fun ribbon bouquet, which we (by which I mean ME) are obviously saving for the rehearsal dinner.
Most of the bridesmaids with the bride to be.
and speaking of scrunchies, since this is random day. I made 14 scrunchies for the girls a while back. Mostly I think Mini just hoards them.

A Few Random Projects on a Thursday
This post is to document a few of the projects I've done lately, but none really require an entire blog post.
I've been diligently cutting up my scraps into usuable pieces. Squares mostly.
Sometimes I do it just to do some cutting, pulling things from my bin, but usually its after pulls for projects, I'm trying to clean up as I go.
Has anyone else tried the thread from Hobby Lobby? I picked up these to try because they were 50% off, and as much as I love my Aurifil, I also like a good deal.
I did some heat transger vinyl projects for our school secretary (and E's volleyball coach). She asked for the Avenger in Training to announce her pregnancy. It was pretty cute. I made the other ones just for fun as an early (first) gift. Their family are huge Marvel fans.
I mentioned that I had a bunch of buffalo plaid flannel. I also had some fleece remnant from Joann. I made the middle three pillows for the girl's room and E made the other two from kits from our trip to Iowa. last spring.
I also whipped up a pair of sleep shorts for E.

This is a piece of vinyl on Mini's brush. She has the same one as her sister, but her sister refuses to share, especially after an incident of lice last year. They are Wet Brushes. They work very well on my girls thick and wavy hair.

Somewhat Random Thursday - Late Summer and Early Autumn
I really love the Autumnal season. As long as it behaves itself! We've actaully had a rather warm and rainy one, but here are a few photographic highlights.
One of the most amazing things we've seen is three male deer in our yard. Generally male deer do not hang out together. With three young bucks together, I'm thinking the mythical 30 pointer must be out there somewhere.....
I've been doing a little bit of preserving. I made four fruit jam.
And Wild Grape Jelly!!
Harvest
Cook and smash
Strain
Giant seeds from the grapes.
And lots of jelly. It's surpisingly good.
Beautiful colors seen out during one of my walks.

Really Random Thursday 5.17.18
Last week I chaperoned a trip to the Petting Farm. So much fun!
E was Lt. Rooney in Arsenic and Old Lace. Her major theatrical debut ;) If you can believe it, I'd never seen the play or the movie??
I made cheesecake for Mother's Day. It didn't crack - I think its the first time ever!!
On Ringo Lake is done - the top is, anyway. Need to get some good pictures. Will truly be a while before I can quilt it.
This was just one of the leader/ender projects I worked on during ORL. It will go to one of the guild's charities, once its quilted up.
Cats are weird.
I've finally had some time to get into the garden. Probably won't do much more until after we take our vacation. Mini and I planted some seeds, so we'll wait to see if they come up and then I can fill in more. Every year I try to get a few more perennials so that someday - it will all come up on its own....
Got new walking shoes.
And clearly, the street guys were having fun.....
