Go, Pack, Go!

I made these up for the kids this week.  A little freezer paper stenciling.  I won't be linking them, because I'm sure it is a total copy-right infringement. (however, in my defense, much time was spent in many different stores looking for a pink version for Ellie and finding none)  And, since I had the stuff out for Ellie, I made one for Will, too.

100th Day

This past Friday was 100 Day at School.  The kids are supposed to wear 100 of something to school.  Here were our offerings:

 100 Paper Clips on the neck and sleeves of Will's T-Shirt

And 100 beads sewed on for Eleanor.  I actually made this for last year, but Ellie was sick and missed out - so glad it still (pretty much) fit this year.

The variety of items on the other kids was pretty neat.  Peanuts, pom poms, bows, even balloons!  I've got some ideas squirreled away for next year.

On a completely different note: We have a Winter Storm Watch coming, AND a Blizzard Watch coming over the next 2 or 3 days.  I have to say that I am looking forward to it!  I love big snows.  We have a huge stockpile of wood out in the garage, so we'll be ready just in case we lose power.  All that being said, this is Wisconsin, and things could change.  We may get nothing.  But a girl can hope....

Donut Destroyer

We made it home from our trip "Up North".  I'll try to get some pictures up in the next couple of days.  Until then, here is a shirt that I made for Willem, recently.


My son Will can eat a donut like nobody's business.  He earned the nickname 'Donut Destroyer'.  So in honor of him, I made a shirt.

 

Dorky picture, I know.  But the best I could get.

I made it using freezer paper stencils.  Super Easy!  If you can cut out a shape, you can stencil it onto fabric.

Freezer paper has one waxed side and one paper side.  All you need to do is cut out your shape, iron the paper to your shirt, and paint.  I used a make-up sponge and some tulip fabric paints for this project. I used the same method for Ellie's Ruffle Shirt.

Corn Husk Dolls

My daughter and I made these the other night.

It was an interesting experiment.  I think the boy looks a little better than the girl.  My husband says they both look creepy.  If you want to try your own we got the instructions here.
