Wip Wednesday 1.23.13

So much going on this week.

Zipped this out yesterday.  The blocks were mostly put together, I just really had to add the borders.  Probably a baby charity quilt.  Unless you think its too much red for a baby.  Opinions?
Still binding the Pioneer Quilt. Should buckle down and get this done.  Would like to take it to Guild Meeting Monday.
Two ugly quilt tops done over the weekend.  Read more about them here.

Pulling fabrics for the long awaited fairy quilt.  E has decided on the blue.  I think I will go ahead and make both.  You never know.....
A quilt finish - blog post coming soon!
My newest art quilt project.  I've decided to name it 'If Napolean Was A Tree'.  Are you intrigued?
More binding to finish up.  Half way around the square.

What are you working on?

The baby blanket is great! I always love baby blankets with color. Gives them something to grow into - plus, pastel gets old and out of date!

How said that red is not fit for a baby quilt? It looks amazing!

Hmmm. Now I have some hints as to where you are going with the Napolean. Not. You've got me totally hooked, and can't wait for the reveal next week.

I say YES! to red for a baby's quilt. The child will love it, and the Mom will too. I've made both kinds of baby quilts: bold and pastel, and while we all love a newborn in a pastel quilt, when they get to be a year and are dragging that thing around the house because they love it so much, it will be perfect.

Yes to the red, actually I read somewhere that the first colors a baby sees are Red, Black and White.

Yes, I *am* intrigued to see what Napoleon would look like as a tree. :) And why wouldn't red work for a baby quilt? :)
