WIP Wednesday 3.12.14

Happy Wednesday!

The temperature quilt continues.  These are the last three days of February.  Striped because of record cold.
This is approximately the current state of my sewing area.
I'm not sure that this pattern is actually easy.  Perhaps because of the fabric I chose, and the fact I had to lengthen it, and because I need to line it.  It will be a fine arts competition dress and Easter dress for E.
Another project waiting in the wings.  Custom bath towels.  Must hurry, a birthday is coming up!

Linking with Lee (who is coming to our guild this month!)

Hi Rachel, I'm 'visiting' you from the UK via Lee's WIP Wednesday. Your Temperature Quilt is such an original idea, I'm not sure I'd have the staying power to execute one myself. Although here in Manchester we've had temperatures that have varied from -15 to +30 centigrade in the lasts few years. Your sewing space is positively minimalist in comparison to my maelstrom of fabric. I'll be checking back in to see how your quilt progresses, good luck x

Love the stripes of cold! Good luck with the dress!

Is that the fabric for her dress? That will be a really great color on her! Can't wait to see the finished product.
