Apple Cozies!

I had the most delightful surprise in the mail last week.
Four Apple Cozies!  (There may be a pomegranate in there due to lack of large size apples)
Aren't they just the cutest things?  I did a post a while back about an apple cosy (Aussie version) that I saw on Thornberry's blog.  Well, Lara graciously offered to whip one up for me.  How could I say no?  I am a non-crocheter and besides, mail from Australia - oh, boy!

Well, as you can see, she made not just one - but four!  One for each kiddo.  Now the apples will be safe and cozy on the way to school.

She also included this lovely card
And an Australian Quilting Magazine.  I am slowly savoring it.  I know we say that quilters are a community, but it is really noticeable reading this magazine.

So now I just have to finish my end of the exchange.  Totally thought it would be done by Christmas.  Now, reality has set in and I'm shooting for in the mail by New Year's.

I love those apple cozies and I've seen banana cozies too - that's a fun way of toting fruit around safely plus having them wrapped in a pretty cover will make them more appetizing for the kids (or grown-ups)...nice magazine. I don't quilt, but have tremendous respect for the art!

I'm so pleased that you like them - and that you're enjoying the magazine. I did read this post way back in December but as a Wordpress user (with a dodgy home computer that crashes frequently) it is often hard to leave a comment on your blog. And by the way - you're welcome!
