Felted Wool Mittens - Teacher Gifts

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas.  Especially teacher gifts.  So with that in mind I put together these felted wool mitten pins.
They are super easy to do.  I felted a wool sweater from Goodwill.  (Hot water wash and high heat dry).  Cut out some mitten shapes, and stitched some snowflake shapes with embroidery floss.  I also added some beads for some sparkle.  The fur is some trim from the fabric store.  I backed them with some white flannel and sewed on a pin.
And now I am ready for Christmas Teacher Gifts

I love that you are already thinking about CHristmas!! When I saw the first picture I thought that it was a ring for the bottom of a candle.. which would be really cute also for the bottom of your jar candles this winter! :) Just a thought! Glad to become your newest follower!

Very sweet!! love them and they will too. Please gift these for Thanksgiving and let your children make a note. I love to gift at thanksgiving break so they can enjoy their gift all thru Dec. I get kinda sad for the kids and teacher when I see a pile of 23 gift bags given on the same day so I've made a poing of always giving at odd times...the teachers are always sooo happy about it.

These are so sweet! My mother in law was a 3rd grade teacher and she had a great collection of pins for every holiday. Great idea to get a jumpstart on Christmas gifts too!
