 Second, 6 fat quarters.  These are "Annalee" by Jane Dixon for Andover 2012.  I confess, these are a bit too modern for my taste, but I know somebody out there can put them to good use.

A Small Finish with a Small Giveaway

 Right after my Eagle finish, I was totally on a finish high (and baby went to bed early) so I finished up this little Dolly quilt.  It was my 'practice' for *this* quilt.

This quilt finishes at 8.5" x 10.75".

 Since I don't really need two of them (just don't ask E), I thought I'd give this one away, if anyone is interested.  Just leave me a comment telling me what color eyes you have.  I'll choose a winner in some random fashion next Friday.

Blogiversary Giveaway

The anniversary of this blog, aka 'blogiversary', passed by in the beginning of August.  I was either in Iowa, or Nevada or somewhere in between and blogging was the last thing on my mind.  So today we celebrate.

I remember starting the blog after discovering all the sewing and crafty blogs about 6 months before I started.  After reading blogs for a while, I decided 'I could do that'.  If any of you have been around from the beginning, you know that the subjects have changed and evolved over the couple of years.  I'm pretty happy with where I am now.  I no longer feel the Need to blog everyday, or have new and exciting projects and tutorials to share every week.  I'm not quite as obsessed with my follower number as I used to be.  (Although I did just reach 150, which was exciting)  I'm happy to have a place to show what I do and share a bit about my family.  And a place to make new blogging friends!

So now you're saying - what about the giveaway?  Well, since I'm embarking on my third year of blogging, I've got three different prizes.

 First up is a Made by Me hexagon pin cushion, along with a charm pack of the Fall 2012 Samplers from Connecting Threads.  There are 24 unique charms in this stack.

Ok, so here's how it all played out.
Giveaway One had four entries.  Since three of them were 'real life friends' I decided to make them all a flower.

Then, by my rules, since only two of the entries from Giveaway Two didn't win on the first one, they automatically won the earrings.
