Painting the House, Update 2

You may remember this picture from my first house painting update.  Well, you know how it goes, you start one project, and it leads to 20.....

I decided to paint the light fixtures.  I'm fairly certain they are original to the house (as was the paint job).  And truth be told, we can't afford to replace them.

But I can afford a $5 can of black enamel paint.
So I took them down and apart, cleaned and sanded them and started painting.

And now my fixtures look practically brand new!

And new LED lightbulbs, too.

The other thing that got taken down and cleaned up was our bell.

Yes, we really do use it to call the family for dinner when they are out in the yard.  We weren't even sure it would clean up.  WD did all the hard work and it looks great!
