More Charity Quilts: Cheater Cloth Quilts

You may think you are seeing double in this post, but I assure you, you are not.  If you look closely you will see that the two quilts are actually different.

Sometime earlier this year or possibly last year, I saw the middle fabric on clearance on the Connecting Threads website.   It is a Riley Blake print with mermaids and narwhals.  Fun. I thought it might make a good charity quilt starter, so when the call came out for quilts for the kids who've lost parent(s) in battle, I thought this would be a great time to use the fabric up.  I made two identical quilts with the yardage.
Really, only the backings are different.

I used up more of my roll of polyester batting and more large stipple quilting to hold it all together.  The each finished approximately 51" x 63".  I'm happy to be using up fabric and getting it out of my stash!
