Sewvivor - The Life of Riley - Rachel

I might be slightly off my rocker, but I've decided to put an entry in to Sewvivor.  It is the quilter's edition!  How could I not!?
Sewvivor is hosted by Rach at Family Ever After. (great name, of course!)

After much debate and thought, I am entering my Ruby Hexagon Baby Quilt.
I made this quilt two years ago for a dear friend who was expecting her first girl after three boys!  The hexagons and diamonds were pieced with a combination of machine and hand piecing.  It is made from one of my favorite lines ever, Ruby by Bonnie and Camille.
The back is a super soft and snuggly flannel, also from the Ruby line.
I did all the quilting myself, free-motion on my domestic sewing machine.

I even included a special hexagon label on the back.

 Thanks for stopping by!

Ruffle it Up

This is my official entry post for Sew-vivor.

Here are the details of the outfit:
Vintage sheet pulled from in-laws closet.
Ruffles are made from a yellow tissue knit
Skirt is based off the skirt pattern from Bits & Pieces by Sandi Henderson
Top is based off a pajama pattern, fully lined and with an added modesty panel.
Doll dress designed by me.
Ruffled ribbon headband also made by me.

We went out yesterday to take a few more pictures.  That's why there is a difference in seasons, and size of the girl!

 See how that skirt moves!
I also did an embellished T-shirt as part of the ensemble.
More twirling.
I decided on this outfit as a submission because I thought it showed a variety of skills, even though it isn't one of my most recent.
