WIP Wed 12.19.12

Egad! Wednesday already?  Yeah, I haven't been getting a whole lot done.  Thus the blog silence around here.  So this week's measly offerings:

I finished one pillow.  Out of the 5 I have in the works.  And then, I didn't even pay attention, and managed to leave the selvage on for everyone to see.
 Ugg.
The absolute disaster that is my sewing/wrapping station.
Yep, wrapping dozens of presents: Family, teachers, school mates.  I was up one Christmas eve until 2 or so, I vowed never again.  I work really hard to have everything wrapped by the 23rd now.
Oh, and I've started cutting out more hexie papers.  I don't know if anyone will appreciate the dorkiness, but there is great irony in reusing 'Battletech' sheets to make hexagons.  I figure there will be lots of chatting and stitching time over the Christmas Holiday.  And don't mind the ironing board cover.  Its only about 6 months old, but that's why I don't make or buy pretty ones.  They get so gross so fast!

What are you working on this week?  Presents, wrapping, not much?

Hi! I'm happy I found your blog! That is so beautiful pillow and lovely fabric, I think showing the selvage is great! Christmas wishes from Greece!

I think we all are kind of "wrapped" up this week with one thing or another. Hopefully all will be back to normal(whatever that is) within the next week or two. Have a wonderful Christmas..may you find peace, hope and love

The selvage made me giggle. It works:) I love the fabric. I thought it was normal to be up in the wee hours of the morning on Christmas Eve?

Rachel, Thanks so much for the lovely mini quilt. I received it in the mail. I love it. Thank you so much for your generosity.
I also don't buy or make nice ironing board covers for the same reason. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that mucks them up!
Have a Blessed Christmas.

If you were a graphic design geek you would appreciate the selvedge as if you did it on purpose. I say go with it.
Your pillows are gorgeous by the way!

Not sewing! Unfortunately. Last minute gift buying, the big Christmas grocery shop, and I haven't wrapped yet! I stayed up til 2 last year finishing wrapping the kids presents. I love your 23rd deadline. I'm going to put that in place here!
