WIP Wed 8.29.12

The Internet gods are smiling on me once again, and we seem to have a steady connection.  Maybe not blazing fast, but at least its here.  For clarification, we are somewhat rural, therefore no DSL, or Cable Modem.  Our internet is wireless from a tower to an antenna.  And the provider seems to be less than 100% reliable.

Anyway, on to this week's projects.
You saw yesterday's finish:  The flower girl dress, received with joy.
You saw these last week, no progress on account of the flower girl dress.
The last of the Ruby fabric.  Destined for a Windows Quilt Class sample.  The line is now in the clearance area at the LQS.  This is good, and bad.
And perhaps some of my most unusual sewing yet.  Bracers, and figuring out how to hang a sword from a belt.  Did you know this was a problem for centuries?  How best to carry a sword?  Today it is my problem to figure out - and that is Not my sketch up there, just a reference that I printed out.

I love Ruby fabric, too (and didn´t even finish my first quilt with it yet)
Will you show us why you need to carry a sword?

Ruby is such pretty fabric. I love the flower girl dress! I can see why other things took a back seat. :)
