WIP Wednesday 3/7/12

First up: The Ruby Hexagon quilt.  This will be the last shot you'll see until I'm done.  Even though my friend knows its coming and picked out the fabric - its still nice to have an element of surprise - don't you think?  I've been working my way through the Director's cut version of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy while I stitch in the evenings.  It would probably actually go faster if I wasn't watching something interesting, but that's ok.

On Sunday, after two weeks of not being able to think about it, I started working on Si's quilt again.  I think you can see where I'm going with it with the long border strips.  Probably not going to get done for his birthday - but hopefully close.  It will be a lot of quilting to finish this one.

As you can see, he already likes it!

Isn't it great when kids love the quilts we make for them?!? I think it makes them feel special.

So nice when a project is that well-received even before it's done!
