A Day at the Fair

We went to the Racine County Fair this morning.  Had to play around on the tractors a bit.
And check out the crazy chickens.
Quilting inspiration can be found anywhere!
Who knew that package wrapping was a category?
A deserving blue ribbon winner, don't you think?

On to the quilts.  This first batch is open class - adults.  The unfortunate thing is they are not displayed in all their glory, but folded on racks, instead.

 Beautiful embroidery and quilting!
I couldn't find any notes, but I wonder if this was form a wedding dress...

Some amazing quilting with black thread!

Found this quilt-like water color in the paintings area.

On to the kids.  The next generation is definitely quilting!

 Love the mannequin!

 Happy Friday!

Rachel, those quilts are awesome. I loved them, but I agree with you. They should have been displayed better so you could see more of them.
I have never seen a chicken like that. It was kinda freaky. Do you know what it was?

Did you note which quilt won the Margaret Lizdas award from guild? Since I didn't make it out to the fair it was fun to see your pics.

Thank you so much for sharing! Looks like fun. There is a lot of work represented in these photos.
