Our next Four In Art Challenge continues to be in the Theme
Urban, with this quarter's subject being
Landmark.
My very first thought was to try a thread drawing of the Colosseum. I still love the idea, but I'm not sure I have the technical ability to make something that I'm happy with.

Next my mind went to the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee. They are very unique structures that can be seen from many places around the city. Especially when they are lit up at night. In each dome are gardens. There is a desert dome, a tropical dome, and a show dome, that changes with the seasons.

I do think that somehow those windows would make an awesome quilt.

I have decided, however, to go with Central Park in New York City.

I really love the above shot with the rivers on both sides of Manhattan with the park in the middle. The buildings look so spiky.

Of course a gorgeous autumn shot.

And bright green summer.
I am hoping to get started on this next mini this weekend. Time ticks away to our next reveal, May 1.

Wow--ambitious! Can't wait to see your work on it.
I'm excited to see how this turns out. My project isn't going so well. Cross your fingers for me.
Thank you for the reminder, I best get to work too. I love the photos of central park.
I wrote up some ideas, and crossed off most of them! I love Central Park, and I have photos like some of the ones you have posted--taken from the Rockefeller Building, overlooking the park. I also love walking through it--it's so HUGE!
I'd better get going on what I want to do, yep, yep, yep.
Great ideas. I find it so hard to transfer my ideas and pictures in my head to the real item when I try to create them. So frustrating!
