2 Steps Forward, 1 Step Back

Yesterday afternoon, while the boys napped, I got this far.

And then I realized I would need about twice as many squares as what I had cut out.

By the time I got home from my parent's, got the kids to bed & exercised, I wasn't all that enthused to be cutting out squares.

So I decided to lay out along the side how it would look with four lines of each color - so at least I knew where I was going.

Now, here comes the question.  Do I add one more line of each of the dark colors to help with the distribution? OR,

Do I stop at the fabric store today for another color to insert between these two?
What do you think?
I'll be here cutting out more squares......
