Birds of a Feather

I made these birds over the last couple of weeks.  Its nice to have a hand sewing project when I'm sitting outside with the kids watching them swim and play.  I found the pattern for these birds here on the Spool website.  Lesson that I learned from these guys, don't over stuff.  I actually made 6 - one for each member of the family, but my daughter's is already missing....

Hey Rachel - Your blog is looking great. I especially liked the backpack re-do. I just bought a really cheap, plain one for my son that I've been planning on spicing up.

I love these little birdies! They also look super cut if you enlarge them :) Totally with you on the over stuffing. I also learned that lesson the hard way. Just wanted to say thank you for your comment on my blog and let you know I used brushed cotton. It is basically your run of the mill cotton with a little bit of sheen to it. Love love love your daughters hair. I want Evie to have super long hair just like hers. it is fabulous!
