Life is Always an Adventure

I managed to finish two more pillows on Wednesday.
For a total of three.  I totally meant to finish two more last night, but Winter Storm Draco came to visit, and we lost power for about 10 hours.  Ironically for us it was the rain that soaked and shorted the lines, the snow had nothing to do with it.
We did awaken to a winter wonderland.  The kids are so excited, and I must admit, I am happy that we will have a more white Christmas than brown.  We really only got a couple of inches, nothing like other areas that were affected by the storm.
I had to share this picture.  My 4 year old shoveled the walk.  By himself.  And I think he did a fantastic job.  The two year old wouldn't go outside.  "Too cold".
I'll end with a quilted wallhanging my mom made many years ago.

May you all have a very blessed Merry Christmas.

Going to link up with Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it Friday.

  1. We got about 15 inches of snow, and 45 mph winds. Winter wonderland at my house!

  5. It's raining here. A lot. Feels like April, not Christmas. So I envy you for the snow and the nice pillows to cuddle up with... Happy Holidays!

  7. I am in shorts and singlet and bare feet, and have just been out gardening in the summer sun (am in New Zealand) - would love to one day be in the northern hemisphere to experience a true, snowy, winter xmas! Your cushions look fantastic, have a Merry Christmas
