If you saw my tutorial on the Lucky Garland yesterday, I mentioned I'd show you what to do with the scraps.
I simply took my pile of scraps...
And cut them into circles - free hand. Perfection isn't necessary here.
I cut out a clover shape from some foam board.
And started gluing on the circles. I used tacky glue. This gave me some time if I needed to move the circles around a bit as I overlapped them.
And the finished shamrock - ready for the wall.
Here it is hanging out with some friends.
The bottom one is fabric covered. The middle one is painted. It will get it's own story next week.
That's fun and festive. =)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you cut all those circles free hand. They look die-cut!
ReplyDeleteThis really turned out cute. Would be great for PreK kids to do as well.
Thanks for sharing this with my readers at Creative Juice Thursday!

This craft is wonderful! I am a nanny of a 2 and 4 year old and you better believe we are doing this craft this week :) Thank you for such a clever idea!! I, too, always keep my scraps and I know I have plenty to make this project. I may also have the girls make a flower using all pinks for spring..again, this method is so good! Thank you thank you :) Have a good week!
ReplyDeletePERFECT for my kiddos and I to try out this week! Great idea!
