Crocheted Beaded Necklace

First the Full Disclosure: I did not make this myself; I cannot crochet.

My mother-in-law actually made this.  Probably about 20 years ago.  And I think it's still pretty cool today - so I'm sharing it with you.

If you do know how to crochet I'm sure that you can figure it out.  The actual necklace measures about 70 inches long!  It looks like you just chain your thread and add a bead every few stitches.  Pretty simple.  I can see lots of possibilities with this simple idea!

Ooh, nice! I like it. So it's a metallic thread used?

This is simple, yet elegant looking - I could make it if I could find such decadent thread and lovely beads...they look very classy!

Maybe while I'm here in Nashville I could whip one of these up... looks really nice and one way to get a really long wrap necklace. Thanks for the idea. Hey, I recognize that sweater ;)

Man, I really think that I am going to have to learn to crochet! There are just way too many cute things that you can make - like your necklace!

Thanks for linking up to Fantastic Friday.

I'm a crocheted and have made a similar necklace. When I got it to my desired length, I wrapped it around my wrist many times. I finished it so that I could wear it as a necklace OR a wrap
